Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise has been a performer, writer, and actress in the US for more than 40 years. Her most well-known role is for her character Ginger Grant (in the 60s television show Gilligan's Island). Her stage work began in the 1950s with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the 1950s, she acted as a stage artist in several Broadway productions before gaining into national fame with the release of Li'l Abner's debut in 1957. Within the same calendar year she debuted her debut music album called This is Tina Time. Louise started her Hollywood career in the year 1958 when she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre a dramatic film. The film was a massive hit and Louise earned her the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. When she was a student in Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Her next role that she played in the role of Ginger Grant, which CBS signed her up with in 1964. Louise was able to balance her acting career successfully between Broadway TV and Hollywood portraying somber characters as opposed to her image as a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 & Sanctuary, although she established herself as a successful television director with several series including Supernatural & The 100. Born in Essex on August 28th 1965 and her family moved to Toronto at the age of three and she continued to live there throughout growing up and in adolescence. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and has been settling down in Toronto ever since.
