Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She attended Arnold School in Blackpool. In her time as headgirl, she scored straight A grades in her A-Levels. She is disappointed that she did not get a normal university education when discussing her Emmerdale experience. Coleman appeared in Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival as part of a group called In Yer Space, which she performed in while at the school. She was awarded an award for her performance and the production was also well-received. When she was auditioning for drama schools, Coleman landed the part in the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman was nominated in 2007 for two awards. In the British Soap Awards she was awarded Best Newcomer. Also, at the National Television Awards she was named the The Most Popular Newcomer. In 2009, she received nominated in the two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman received the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on the 21st of March that Coleman was set to portray Matt Smith as the Doctor's companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other actors quit the show. Moffat picked her to play the role because she worked most effectively with Smith and was able to talk more quickly than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She has been active in the world of film since 1987. She has been much more visible on television than in films. Eva has had many TV parts, however the roles of Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children' and Detective Natalia Boa Vistas of CSI Miami have stood out. Eva was nominated for 2 "Daytime Emmys" for her first part as well as having the the opportunity to express her artistic talents. In addition to being an actor, Eva is a philanthropist and an entrepreneur. Three times married, she has one daughter with her second husband.
