Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford, as she's popularly known, was an American-born British musician and vocalist who led the women-only hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. The band didn't have an enormous following within their home country of the United States. However, their fame grew internationally especially in Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career had a great success following the band breakup. She began to take voice lessons before releasing her debut album "Out for Blood", followed by "Dancin" on the Edge. Ford went missing from the music scene for some time after both albums failed to be a huge success. In 1988, she came back to the music scene by releasing a dazzling album titled "Lita. The track "Kiss My Deadly" and ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were big hits. However, the success of her career was not last long and after a few years she disappeared. Her return came when she released 'Black' in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland' almost 15 years later. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
